CELTA Assessment

You will be assessed throughout the course by at least two tutors. An external Assessor will visit towards the end of the course to moderate the course and discuss progress and grades with the tutors. All the following areas contribute to assessment and there is no end of course exam.

• Lesson preparation
• Lesson execution
• Classroom performance/manner
• Awareness of strengths and weaknesses of self and other trainees
• Participation in/response to feedback
• Participation in input sessions
• Understanding and application of input sessions, as shown in assignments, homework & TP
• Presentation and content of assignments and homework. 
• General professionalism
• Indications of continued development
